• Power System Test and Simulation Equipment

This is a very old and interesting piece of equipment used for test and simulation of power systems, made by Alsthom (1928-1989), presently known as Alstom a French multinational company.

It has been utilized in EESLab for transmission system modeling. It includes several line models as well as various load types. Line and load models are flexible and their values can be selected according to desired system configurations. Currently, these values are based on the power transmission systems between Istanbul and some of its neighbour cities. Its simulation case studies generally consist of short circuit analysis, simulations of faults, application and analysis of protection systems, voltage control, control of reactive power flow, among several others.
Nowadays, it is not functioning and only symbolizes the old history of our laboratory.
